Privacy Policy

Grinditforus is a local flour mill and spice shop operated by Arvani, delivering in and around Maheshtala, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. This page explains what we collect when you use grinditforus.in, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

We are a small shop, not an advertising business. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

When you sign in. We use Google Sign-In. Google tells us your name and email address, so we know whose orders are whose. We never see your Google password, and we ask Google for nothing beyond your basic profile and email address.

Your delivery details. The name, phone number, delivery address and pincode you enter on your account page. We cannot deliver without them, which is why the shop asks before your first order.

Your orders. What you ordered, the quantity, the grinding option you chose, the price at the time, the delivery date you picked, and the order's status. Each order also keeps its own copy of the name, phone and address it was placed with — so that correcting your address today does not rewrite where last month's order actually went.

Messages. If you message the shop, we keep what was said, which order it was about, and whether it has been read.

Notifications, only if you turn them on. Switching on order notifications stores the subscription your browser generates — the address your browser gives us to deliver alerts to, its keys, and your browser's user-agent string. Switching notifications off deletes it.

Your cart stays in your browser. It is kept in your own device's storage and is not sent to us at all until you place the order.

• No payment details. The shop is cash on delivery only. There is no card number, no UPI handle and no bank information anywhere on this site.
• No location tracking. We never ask your device for its position, and we do not record where you are.
• No analytics or advertising trackers. There is no analytics service, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracking script on this site.

We use cookies for two things, neither of them advertising:

• Staying signed in. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase, so you are not asked to sign in again on every page.
• Remembering an invitation. If you arrive on a link that carries a referral code, we store that code for 30 days so the person who invited you can be credited. It holds no personal information about you and cannot be read by scripts on the page.

• The shopkeeper — to pack and deliver your order, and to reply to your messages.
• Supabase — hosts the database and handles sign-in.
• Vercel — hosts the website itself.
• Google — only to sign you in, and only what Google already knows about you.
• Your browser's notification service — only if you turned notifications on, and only to deliver the alert.

These are service providers that keep the shop running, not partners we hand customer lists to. We would also disclose information if the law genuinely required it of us.

Orders are kept as the shop's business records — what was sold, to whom, on what day — because a shop has to be able to answer a question about an old delivery, and because tax rules expect it. Your account details are kept for as long as you have an account with us.

• See and correct your details at any time on your account page.
• Turn notifications off from the same page, which deletes the subscription.
• Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete it. Call or email using the details below. We may still need to keep the record of a completed order after closing your account, for the reason above.

This shop is meant for adults placing household orders. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated.
